Safety and technology transparency
Catch A Ride is planning for a future robotaxi service—not announcing an active autonomous operation today. Vehicles, software, insurance, emergency procedures, rider support, permits, and operating approvals must be selected and validated before public rides begin.
Human drivers can become distracted, impaired, tired, or inconsistent. NHTSA says mature automated-driving systems may reduce crashes, prevent injuries, and sometimes detect danger and act faster than a person. These are potential benefits—not a guarantee—and depend on safe development, testing, maintenance, and approved deployment.
Future vehicles will be evaluated for crashworthiness, occupant protection, environmental awareness, software reliability, maintenance requirements, and clearly documented system limitations before entering service.
Public service will begin only after the chosen vehicles and operating model satisfy applicable regulatory, permitting, insurance, maintenance, and operational requirements.
Future operating plans must address seatbelt use, vehicle identification, trip monitoring, emergency assistance, incident reporting, lost items, accessibility, and clear rider instructions.
Catch A Ride LLC is an independent transportation-planning company. Vehicle, software, fleet, insurance, and technology partners have not been finalized or announced.
